In case you haven't heard yet, we have an amazing opportunity coming up for the children of our Reservation! Mother Theresa’s sisters, the famous Missionaries of Charity, will be in Browning this June and their primary mission is to offer a catechism camp for our youth, from kindergarten through 8th grade. The camp will run daily M-F in the mornings from June 7-25 at the CCD Center (aka De La Salle School). The mornings will be divided into two sessions, one from 9-10:30am for the younger children and the second from 10:45am-12:15pm for the older ones. Once we have all of the sign ups, we will be able to establish the age ranges for each session (see below for info on signing up).
This is such an exciting opportunity for our young people! Of course there will be catechism lessons and prayer, which will reinforce what they have already learned and also help them to learn more. But there will also be fun and games. And most of all, the children will be able to spend time with the Sisters, who are so full of joy since they are filled with Christ's presence. They are fun to be around and their love for Christ and others is simply contagious! And they are very excited to come here and spend time with you and your children!
So call the parish office at 338-5775 to sign your kids up! Also feel free to encourage others to sign up. The more the merrier! And finally, note that we will also be looking at opportunities for the Sisters to interact with our high school students (once or twice a week) and with the De La Salle students in summer school. We will work out those details once the Sisters arrive next week, so stay tuned.
