By now many of you may have already heard that the Blackfeet Tribal Council has announced that we will begin reopening the Reservation again! And of course this means that us Catholics will also be able to celebrate Mass together, albeit in limited fashion since we don't want to go too fast and get into another covid mess. We are allowed to host up to 25% of normal capacity in our churches and below are the basic details regarding our plan to get started:
-We will begin with Masses at Little Flower Parish (LFP) only and will open up for the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time with our previous Mass schedule: vigil Mass at 6:30pm on Saturday (Feb 6) and Masses at 9am and 10:30am on Sunday (Feb 7). Our capacity will be 65 people.
Note that for this upcoming 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time, we will continue with the two live stream Masses, the vigil on Saturday at 5pm (Jan 30) and on Sunday at 10am (Jan 31).
-In order to still serve our people outside of LFP from the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time until we resume liturgies at all our locations, we will continue to have one live stream Mass on Saturday evenings, but it will start at 4:30pm, not 5pm. This will begin on Feb 6.
-We will also resume 4pm daily Masses at LFP on Monday, Feb 8. These Masses will be in the church though, not in the side chapel so we can have more people and still maintain covid protocols.
-And last, but not least, the LFP parish office will open back up on Monday, Feb 8 as well. Of course we will still continue to follow protocols (masks, etc.) though.
More information will be forthcoming as we evaluate the reopening and the potential to reach out to our other locations and ministries. Stay tuned! And feel free to call the parish office at 338-5775 with questions.
Thank you very much for your patience during these difficult times and for keeping up the faith through it all! We are very much looking forward to seeing you in person! God bless!!
